
Talk on the Parramatta Female Factory
In this Mosman Historical Society talk Adjunct Associate Professor Carol LIston AO will discuss the female factory at Parramatta that between 1821 and 1848 housed convict women. She will also mention the first factory there that commenced in 1804, explain how both factories were managed and talk about some of the women.
Carol is highly regarded for her research on Sydney's early colonial history. She is the president of the Royal Australian Historical Society.
