Words, Poetry and the Power of Your Journey

Join Solli Raphael who will, after a poetic opening, take students on his journey to becoming an author/advocate that just so happened to begin on a regular Monday morning in school.

Students will take inspiration from their own lives to write a short piece… and a few brave students can share their writing.

Suitable for children in school years 3-6.

The submission portal for the Mosman Youth Awards in Literature (MYAL) 2025 opens Saturday 1 March 2025. MYAL is an annual short story and poetry competition that attracts budding poets, playwrights and authors from primary and secondary schools. Winners are awarded cash prizes and the opportunity to showcase their work. Take inspiration from this workshop to write and submit a poem in March!
