Drawing the Bush: A Guided Walk with Artist Patrick Shirvington

Join acclaimed Australian artist Patrick Shirvington for a unique and immersive experience in the heart of Mosman’s bushland. As part of Festival of Mosman, Patrick will lead a guided bushwalk through Parriwi Park, sharing his personal process of connecting to the Australian landscape through drawing.

This hands-on session invites participants to slow down, observe and engage with nature in a meaningful way. Under Patrick’s guidance, you’ll learn to identify native flora and translate your observations into simple pencil sketches. Through drawing, you’ll discover how close attention to detail can deepen your understanding and appreciation of the natural world.

No prior art experience is necessary - just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore. Materials will be provided and Patrick will offer gentle instruction and encouragement throughout the walk.
