BIG Pencils – School Holiday Workshop (Ages 9–13)

Come and make a giant pencil that actually works!

In this hands-on school holiday workshop, children aged 9–13 will use cardboard, paint, glue and a few secret ingredients to build an oversized pencil that definitely won’t fit in their pencil case.

The workshop is led by award-winning sculptor Jane Gillings, who has exhibited at Sculpture for over a decade and shared the 2025 Deepal Australia Artist Award.

Groups are small, with a maximum of 6–8 children, so places are limited. All materials are supplied and children take home their finished pencil.
