Faces in the Crowd: More Mosman Stories

Mosman Library Service regularly participates in the Australian Heritage Festival’s annual celebration of the unique heritage of local communities.

Since the beginning, The Faces in the Crowd exhibitions have celebrated Mosman residents and business owners, revealing, and sharing their incredible and unique stories.

Featured, this year are Les Peterkin, teacher, potter, musician and namesake of a portrait prize, Harry J. Weston, designer, artist, teacher and founder of one of Australia’s first commercial art studios, Elizabeth Reimer designer and manufacturer.

Highly respected by their contemporaries, each established successful businesses, shared their skills and talents influencing the development of design and culture in the local and wider community.
