Seaside Scavenge at Rethink Rubbish Pop-up Beach Series @ Balmoral
Taronga Zoo receives around 60 turtles annually with plastic related problems ranging from ingestion to entanglement. Supported by Mosman Council, the Seaside Scavenge will be kicking off the new-year with the best kind of clean-up action for our harbour… Sunday arvo scavenging vibes!
For every 10 pieces of litter you collect and sort, you will earn a trash token that can be traded for the trendiest gear in town at our pop-up seaside market! Not to mention we’ll have local groups such as Responsible Runners and the Underwater Research Group there to fill your noggin’ with all the latest in marine debris facts and tips on how to avoid single-use plastics.
Even better is the line-up of live local music to lap-up, prizes to score and Plastic-Free Pledges to check-out all over Balmoral. So put this one in your diary, you won’t want to miss it!
This event is part of Living Mosman’s Rethink Rubbish Pop-up stand at Balmoral Beach. Come down and take part in family friendly and fun activities focused on marine pollution, recycling, and all things sustainable. In addition to the activities there are quizzes and prizes to be won.
