MONDAY MATTERS Multiple Sclerosis - Raising Awareness and Education
The Library is delighted to welcome MS Ambassador, Greta Bainbridge, to speak at this month's “Monday Matters”.
Greta first started to notice her initial multiple sclerosis symptoms at the tender age of 14, but these mild neurological changes were the last thing on the mind of this fun-loving teenager. Strong and definite symptoms returned at 18 years of age and a diagnosis of the fastest growing neurological disease affecting young Australians – multiple sclerosis – two years later.
Greta has since achieved her goal of completing an Accounting degree, and is looking forward to travelling the world. Greta firmly believes “Multiple sclerosis doesn’t determine your future or who you are – you do”. She is positive about her future and is grateful for her wonderful life.
